I wanted to write a bit about Waldorf Homeschooling. I have a student who is enrolled in this program and his parents love the program. It is a service that does have a yearly cost, between $420 and $480. This is actually affordable if broken down into monthly payments.
This is a program that allows for a lot of leverage for the parents and the students if wanted. It also can be programmed for a more standard setup. One of the programs is called Live Education and the other is called Oak Meadows. They are best described as being sequential lessons. The amount of time spent on each lesson will vary from family to family. This program feels that parents want flexibility in the education of their child. Oak Meadows directs each family, regardless of an individual child's need, on a daily/weekly basis. Live Education! recognizes that some families want to delve more thoroughly into some subjects and therefore doesn't want to determine the length of time on each lesson. Above all, they do not want their parents to feel behind or ahead of a forced schedule.
If you have multi-aged situations with siblings, no problem. Live Education! is very proud to arrange and consult in doing this. Things like Physical Education, music, foreign languages can all be put into the main program with sometimes a little extra help from an outside tutor.
Of course a main concern of many parents is the insecurity that they can teach their child properly. This company feels, as I do, that parents know their children better than their teachers and you will always be able to understand your child's needs fully. Be adventurous, be courageous, have fun!
Well, this is definitely another choice for those of you who are looking at homeschooling. I wanted to ask you future homeschoolers, if you would like some more information and help with starting your homeschooling? Please email me and let me know. I have opened a group chat, Pattschats ,on Facebook if any of you want to reach me. I want to be able to hear your needs and thoughts.
